NCI Data Commons Framework Services

NCI Data Commons Framework Services (DCFS) are an instance of Gen3 operated by the University of Chicago's Center for Translational Data Science. DCFS collaborates and connects with all parts of the Cancer Research Data Commons (CRDC) to enhance opportunities for cancer research with the services mentioned below. Learn more about DCFS and Gen3 here.

NCI DCFS Users

NCI DCFS users include researchers who build apps and tools (Developers), NCI Data Nodes, and NCI Cloud Resources.

NCI-CRDC Partners

DCFS, powered by Gen3, is just one system funded by National Cancer Institute (NCI) to explore how varied datasets can be accessed in a secure and scalable manner. DCFS makes it possible to interoperate with data commons and share data within a data ecosystem. DCFS works with current and future data nodes and the three Cloud Resources funded by NCI to achieve the goal of building a data commons ecosystem in cancer research. Read more about the Cloud Resources here.
